Modern Abstract Portraiture: "Window View" - Acrylic on Canvas
"Window View" is a captivating original acrylic painting on canvas that presents a fragmented, yet deeply expressive, view of two faces. Executed in a bold, stylized manner, this painting is a nod to early 20th-century modernism, making it an excellent addition to any collection seeking graphic impact and timeless style.

Key Features & Artistry
Evocative Title & Composition: The title "Window View" suggests a glimpse into an internal or external perspective, utilizing strong vertical and horizontal lines—including a prominent blue column with geometric accents—to frame the abstract faces.

Cubist and Abstract Influence: The faces are rendered with sharp lines and shifting perspectives, recalling the techniques of Cubism and early Abstract Portraiture. The intertwining forms suggest intimacy, duality, or different facets of a single personality.

Classic Primary Palette: The color scheme is a powerful and classic combination of primary colors—vibrant red, bright blue, and rich green—balanced by stark black outlines and areas of creamy white. This use of color creates high drama and visual energy, despite the painting's smaller scale.

Perfect Small Statement Piece: Measuring 11 inches wide by 14 inches high (11" W x 14" H), this piece is perfectly sized for a niche, a mantelpiece, or integrated into a curated gallery wall, offering maximum impact in a compact format.

Dan Forlenza is a multidisciplinary artist based in Woodstock, New York, where he is an active artist member of the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, his practice explores the psychological weight of the modern human condition through the lenses of Pop Surrealism and Figurative Neo-Expressionism.

Forlenza’s roots in figurative and narrative art run deep. He was nationally published as a featured comic artist for King Features Syndicate in the weekly publication The New Breed and as the co-creator of the sci-fi graphic novel SUPERBUG. Today, he translates that strong illustrative foundation into highly tactile, loosely painted canvases. His current work relies on raw, expressive brushwork to challenge the hyper-curated aesthetic of the modern attention economy, offering a tangible rebellion against an increasingly oversaturated world controlled by algorithms.
